The Craig Daily Press, a six-day-a-week daily in Northwest Colorado, is seeking an experienced editor to lead a reader-first newspaper that’s committed to comprehensive community coverage. The 3400-circulation Daily Press has won the Colorado Press Association’s General Excellence Award in its circulation for three consecutive years, and earned the CPA Editorial Excellence Award in 2007.

Ideal candidate must have strong managerial and organizational skills and the ability to coach, lead and develop a staff of motivated and enthusiastic reporters. The editor must understand and be responsive to readership needs and respond to them using both the print and Web platforms. Chosen candidate must be willing to make a personal and professional commitment to the community and to be actively involved in community events as a representative of the newspaper.
